Volunteering: Ann Bunting and Hannah Brown who is currently back in the UK after working as a volunteer Health Specialist with ‘Revelation Life’ came to talk about volunteering.  Ann is the Manager from the Huntingdonshire Volunteer Centre and she explained what volunteering involves, and gave numerous inspiring examples about how volunteering occurs in both local and far wider contexts. One lovely slide showed a very old lady of over 100 years old with a younger person, but it was the lady who was the volunteer. Hannah spoke eloquently and emotively about work she has done in Africa to support communities in terms of healthcare, education and support for basic needs. Hannah is a qualified and practising nurse, but is now returning to Africa to renew her work there. Nathalie from the National Blood Transfusion Service, also spoke, explaining how we can get involved in donating blood, which generated a pleasingly long queue at the end of the session.
