UCAS

Some students from Hinchingbrooke Sixth Form who went on to University have contacted us with their degree results.

Some students from Hinchingbrooke Sixth Form who went on to University have contacted us with their degree results. We would like to congratulate Marwan Hassan who achieved a first class honours in Economics from York, Joseph Diviney with a first class honours in History from Sheffield and Alistair Hannah with a 2:1 in History from Magdalene College, Cambridge.

One hundred and forty students (a considerable increase on 2014) from our Year 13 are already holding places at university for September – we wish them all the best for results day on 13th August! Our Year 12shave been to the UCAS fair a Anglia Ruskin university where all the higher education institutions in the country are invited to set up stalls and offer activities to explain to students what they offer. The students found the event a huge help in terms of getting guidance on their next steps after sixth form, and are now in the process either of writing Personal Statements in tutorial with a view to doing their UCAS application in the Autumn, or considering other options when they reach the end of Year 13.
