Who's afraid of Captain Hook?
Year 12 Drama students stage a panto...oh, no they didn't! OH YES THEY DID!
FIVE of our amazing Year 12 Drama students brought a little NEVERLAND to the lives of primary school kids at our sister school, Cromwell Academy, this week – with a special performance of their very own Peter Pan pantomime.
The performance, which was part of an assessed piece of work in the community, was created by the students themselves and performed in front of the whole school, so just over 200 students. Cromwell Academy Head Mrs Hannah Connor-James praised the performance, telling Mrs Alexander:
“I just wanted to say how impressed we were by your students. They performed, presented themselves and represented the school so well. Their performance was perfectly on point for primary aged students – from age 4 right up to 11 – and it was enjoyed by children and adults alike.”
“They managed behaviour, responses and reactions brilliantly through their performance techniques, which is not easy to achieve, whilst also ensuring enjoyment, safety and laughter within a meaningful storyline.”
She added: “Thank you for offering this experience to our children, and please also pass on our gratitude to the technical team who supported them in creating a professional-looking scene and exciting atmosphere. I wish your talented students every success in their next steps and look forward to future opportunities to work together.”
Please give a big panto shout out to all our Year 12s who took part - Tommy, Olivia, Alice, Kacey and Charlotte.
