We would like to inform you that on the 14 – 21st June 2013, your child has the opportunity to visit beautiful Cataluña, on the north-eastern Spanish coast. The trip is aimed at those students who are interested in Art, ICT and/or Spanish language. This trip includes approximately six lunchtime sessions before the trip takes place – these sessions are compulsory.
I wrote to you just before Half Term to outline some of the actions and key dates for Year 11 students and their parents, and can now provide more detail on a talk for all Year 11 parents by Geoff Hannan on 17 January.
Many year 11 students are re-sitting science modules in January. To help students prepare for their exams, teaching staff are available at the following times for revision sessions/drop ins. These sessions will run until the date of the January exams. It is always useful for students to come to the revision sessions with specific topics or concepts in mind in order to maximise this opportunity.
Exam dates are:
Biology – Wednesday 9th January
Chemistry – Monday 14th January
Physics – Thursday 17th January
We have been selected by the FA to run their Vauxhall sponsored “ Mash UP “ football sessions in our Sports Hall
You are invited you to meet your son’s/daughter’s subject teachers and to discuss his/her progress.
I am delighted to announce that our new Community Reception is now open. It is located at the front of school just through the Castle Gate entrance (near the pedestrian crossing on Hinchingbrooke Park Road)
All visitors to the school site are required to sign in and out in this new area. The original Reception area is now Student Reception dealing specifically with student enquiries.
Due to the frozen pitches the year 7 Rugby tournament tomorrow; Saturday 1st December, has been cancelled due to frozen pitches and it will be rescheduled for the new year.
