On Sunday 20^th October, the Hinchingbrooke school sixth form team were invited to London as eastern regional winners of the Pearson Team award. The national winners were announced at Drury Lane Theatre at a star studded award ceremony.

The Inspiring the Future: Inspiring Women campaign launched on 17 October with a ‘career speed networking’ event hosted by Miriam González Durántez at Lancaster House with 100 girls from 12 state secondary schools talking jobs and careers with 10 high profile successful women. The aim of the campaign is to see 15,000 women from a wide range of occupations going into state schools, over the next year, to talk to 250,000 young women about the range of jobs available and entry routes into them.

Last Thursday the grounds and buildings of Hinchingbrooke School were alive with large groups of students participating in a wide range of exciting and challenging activities. The normal school timetable was suspended for the day and each year group was set a series of challenges focussing on developing their resilience, teamwork and creative thinking; all to support the theme of the day - Determination.

If you haven’t yet sent in your child’s completed admission and medical forms it is important that you do this at the earliest opportunity.
