Year 10 Work Experience

Work experience is essential for young people as it provides valuable insights into the world of employment, helping them develop key skills such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. It allows them to explore different career paths, gain confidence in a professional setting, and understand workplace expectations. Additionally, work experience enhances their CV and improves their chances of securing future employment or further training opportunities. Ultimately, it bridges the gap between education and the working world, preparing young people for a successful career.

During the week commencing Monday 16 June and Monday 23 June 2025 please use the following mobile number: 07872 422172 if you need to contact the school about work experience.

Resources for work experience

We appreciate that not every student will be able to access work experience during the allocated weeks and that some employers are unable to offer opportunities during these times. Below, we have listed useful websites that offer a variety of WEX opportunities that can be accessed online, supporting learners to gain an understanding of the workplace. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact our Careers Manager Mr Butler jbutler@hbk.acesmat.uk.
